I was born in Havana, Cuba. At 13 of age, I was lucky to win the Visa Lottery which allowed me and my mother to make the United States our permanent home. From the age of 5, and with the help of my mother who raised in a single-family home, I began my career as a violinist. As the years went on and I transition to this new land, I continued my studies in the United States winning a scholarship to Florida State University soon after my arrival.

Thought I was successful in music landing position among the elite orchestras in Florida like the Miami Symphony, the Palm Beach Opera Orchestra, the New World Symphony, the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, among many others, I decided to make a change and begin a new journey in the financial sector by opening my original financial practice as a financial advisor in the end of 2009.

Setbacks have always been part of my life therefore through the economic decline, I survived. To me, it's refreshing to overcome obstacles as each one of them become lessons that help you grow and learn from.  Of course, this can only be achieved only if we approached with the right mindset.

 

Being part of a single-parent home and having the perspective of what it was to live in a completely different economic system, I have a view of finances quite particular than many others. I fully understand what it is to live a life full of financial shortcomings and sleepless nights as I saw my mom opening those credit card and bank statements, making sure we had enough money to survive.

Why Financial Coaching?

What many individuals don’t comprehend is that planning your finances is a disciplined process that clearly defines financial goals through the gathering of information about the resources that are available to meet those goals, in order to develop a plan to achieve them; the keyword here is “Resources Available”, meaning cash flow.

​

As a financial coach, I will work with the individual to change their behaviors and misjudgment they have around money, which might be preventing them from seeing where they can reduce spending to create more savings. By constant monitoring, continually assisting and holding the clients accountable to get out of debt and understand their emotions and habits around money, which may have created obstacles to good financial management, I know that each particular one would be able to achieve their financial and personal goal that they are looking for.

My goal is that all the individuals that go through this Financial Coaching journey are able to not only manage their money but to be able to participate like the rest in the wealth that exists that can help them live the lives they deserve and provide their families and loved ones with the monetary foundation that would last for generations to come.
